About

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish… and I was hooked for life.

Back when the other kids were outside playing, I was inside reading. And writing fiction — in one of those black and white speckled notebooks, long before I ever met a keyboard. And the urge never went away.

Sidetracked for years by a career as a writer/marketing professional (to fulfill that pesky need to put food on the table and a roof over my head), I’ve managed along the way to author award-winning newspaper and magazine articles, write countless brochures and annual reports, contribute to blogs and pen speeches… and even have some fun, most notably writing satirical sketches and musical parodies.

I joined SCBWI (the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) ten years ago, became part of an extraordinary Critique Group and embarked on my odyssey to fulfill a life-long dream of writing for children.

I am thrilled to be working with Menucha Publishers, which released my two middle grade books in the “Five Star Detectives” series and two Young Adult novels. Currently under contract with Menucha are three more books:

  • A new entry in the “Five Star Detectives” series
  • An adventure book with a fun approach to Science, also for middle graders
  • A historical fiction novel for young adults

The ideas come fast and furious and, quite simply, I am too excited by the journey to confine myself to one genre.

This journey began with a series of “coincidences” (although I don’t really believe in coincidences). And I can’t wait to see where it goes from here!
